Are Bitcoin generating websites scams

If there's any claim by the website that it's actually generating Bitcoin then yes, it's a scam.

The only possible exception to this would be the website for a mining pool, where miners get instructions regarding how that pool works and how it handles payout if and when it wins a mining reward.

And so a person participating in a mining pool gets a small percentage of the mining reward, as opposed to mining entirely on their own where they're far more likely to receive nothing. But any websites claiming that they have any special way of generating Bitcoin profit that you can participate in, presumably for parting with some of your own Bitcoin up front, are either scams or close enough to scams that they exist solely for the purpose of separating fools from their money.

Bitcoin is actually much more like other speculative investments, such as stocks, commodities and real estate, than many people seem to realize.

If you invest for the long-term by simply buying and holding, chances are pretty good you will make money.

If you try any fancy short term investment strategies or schemes, attempting to beat the market without investing for the long-term, your chances of making money are an infinitesimally tiny fraction of your chances of losing money.

The only way to change these percentages in the direction you want is to get really really good at short-term trading strategies. And even the best short-term traders lose almost as much as they win, with the wins being just enough more than the losses to keep them going.

If you want to make money with Bitcoin the best way is simplicity itself:

Buy what you can afford to lose, either at once, or by buying a little bit over time, and then don't even think about selling any for a minimum of 3 to 5 years.

And store it securely on a hardware wallet in the meantime.

That's it.

That approach is far far more likely to help you to potentially make significant money from investing in Bitcoin than any allegedly get-rich-quick scheme, aka scam.
